What is Profhilo®?
Profhilo is a new development in the treatment of skin laxity using hyaluronic acid injections. It’s revolutionary as it is not a filler and so does not plump the face or change the facial appearance but Profhilo is especially effective as an anti-ageing treatment for producing brighter and tighter skin, reducing fine lines and can, if your collagen production is sufficient, reduce lax skin in the: face, upper arms, neck & hands.
After injection, it only remains in place for a relatively short time (up to 28 days). It is then fully, naturally and safely broken down by the body and eliminated and whilst aparent in the skin it significantly improves the body’s existing, natural processes for regenerating skin tissue.
How Profhilo® can help prevent wrinkles?
Profhilo is an excellent option for the early prevention of lines, wrinkles and loss of volume. When we as human’s start to age, even as early as 20 years of age we lose around 1% of the collagen and elastin from our skin tissue each year. Collagen and elastin are the building blocks that give the skin its plumped-up, healthy appearance. As a result of this gradual depletion, the skin becomes thinner and as the time goes by it has less and less of its youthful ‘bounce’.
By maintaining good skin health, it also means you’re likely to need fewer treatments in the future. It’s recommended that this treatment is taken on at a younger age for greater affect, although there are still benefits seen in the older generation.
How is the Profhilo® implemented?
Our fully qualified Aesthetics Practitioner Eleana will inject the product using very fine needles in five specific points on the face that Profhilo call the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAPs).
The BAP technique is seen as the optimum method for placement of the hyaluronic acid. It allows the treatment to be effective and simple, reducing the chance of pain, bruising or haematoma at the injection site. Once injected, the product immediately starts spreading due to the high concentration of hyaluronic acid and its cohesive nature.
It flows and distributes itself evenly, rather than remaining where it is placed, naturally and without resistance integrating within your skin’s existing tissue.
How long do the results last?
You should notice the results of the treatment – increased firmness, elasticity and an overall improved quality of your skin – lasting around six months.
There are other factors that can affect the results, such as the degree of correction needed, the age of the patient and lifestyle of the patient that could effect the skin’s natural ageing process.
How many treatments will I need?
The recommended course of treatment is an initial course of two treatment sessions, with an interval of one month between sessions.
How does Profhilo® work?
While Profhilo is based on pure hyaluronic acid technology, it’s more of a ‘skin booster’ than a filler.
As the only skin remodelling product to hydrate the skin as well as stimulate all four types of collagen and elastin, Profhilo may also be described as a ‘bio-rejuvenator’ or ‘bio- revitaliser’.
What are the side effects of Profhilo®?
You’ll possibly have a few lumps where the Profhilo® has been injected but these will reduce after thirty hours and will be small. There is a possibility of other side effects, such as erythema (redness), pain, itching, discolouration or tenderness at the injection site but these should be mild and will quickly fade.
Is Profhilo suitable for everyone?
Profhilo is suitable for anyone who is looking for treatment for the signs of ageing skin apart from those who have hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid, are pregnant or breastfeeding and it can also be combined with other non-surgical aesthetic treatments.
Hand Fillers
Hand fillers reduce the appearance of ageing on your hands as one of the most visible parts of our body which is often unclothed and on show, yet in spite of advances surrounding facial cosmetic procedures, hand fillers or hand rejuvenation is an area that’s been somewhat neglected. Following an increase in popularity of facial cosmetic procedures, people are now asking for dermal fillers for hands and it is becoming increasingly more popular year on year. Looking at the results that can be obtained its very easy to see why this is the case.
Tell me what hand fillers are all about
Ageing of the hands can be defined as a loss of dermal elasticity, along with atrophy of the subcutaneous tissue. In short; veins, bony structures and tendons all become increasingly more visible which many will agree is viserally not pleasurable. There is nothing to stop this aging process but we can try and correct it and we do this with the help of dermal fillers for hands to restore the volumes of list tissue to give a more youthful look.
Nasolabial Line Filler
The nasolabial fold is the deep crease running from either side of the nose down towards the corners of the mouth. This crease becomes more noticeable as part of the natural ageing process. The main reason for this is the loss of fat from the cheeks, reducing skin volume and making this fold appear deeper. Repeated smiling or having a “big smile” may result in permanent, deep creases in this area.
What can be done?
Deep nasolabial folds can be corrected through injections of dermal filler into the surrounding area, restoring the lost volume and softening the appearance of these creases. The goal of nasolabial fold injections is to even out the skin volume, leaving you with a smoother, refreshed-looking appearance.
From £220Cheek Fillers
Dermal fillers can be used to shape, volumise and enhance cheeks.
This can be done for both anti-ageing purposes as well as in the younger patient for enhancing cheek proportions and facial balance. As cheek and facial proportions may become more disproportionate with ageing, cheek enhancement for anti-ageing also tends to have the positive effect also of restoring cheek and facial proportions.

Botulinum Toxin (Botox) is injected into the jaw (masseter) causing it to weaken and shrink in size. The result is a slimmer, more youthful face shape with a harder jaw line. The procedure also helps those who suffer from migraine headaches caused by stress and teeth grinding, as it relaxes the jaw muscles thereby reducing overall tension in the face.

The botulinum toxin works by blocking the chemical at the end of the nerves so that it cannot work on the glands or muscles. In the case of the sweat glands, it turns them off to reduce sweating.
Non-Surgical Nose Job – Rhinoplasty
Wanting to change the shape of your nose? Well there is a safe alternative to having general nose surgery. It’s called non-surgical rhinoplasty. It is quick and painless and much more affordable than a surgical nose job. It is so easy and quick, you can be in and out within hours and back to work the same day.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty makes use of dermal filler to re-shape the nose. It is a safe alternative to surgery and an affordable option for those people who want the shape of their nose changed. The procedure is quick and painless.
You can have a non-surgical nose job if you have a crooked nose, a bump on the bridge of your nose, or you have a hook shaped nose. Whatever your nose shape, we can give you a smooth, straight nose with this procedure.
How Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Is Done
Tiny amounts of an injectable dermal filler such as Juvederm are injected into areas that need to be filled out to achieve a smoother, more symmetrical appearance. The filler is injected in minuscule amounts using what is called a microdroplet technique.
A non-surgical nose job Rhinoplasty procedure is not exactly a quick fix, as the end result is only achieved after a series of several treatments, with at least 4-6 weeks in between sessions. This gradual approach is necessary because of the way these fillers work.
After injection, your body’s defences begin working to “wall off” each microdroplet of the filler material, forming a capsule of tissue that holds it in position. Over a period of time, the natural tissue built up around the filler creates more volume in the area, so the result cannot be accurately judged at the end of each injection session.
